ECU Ferrite Attachment Installation: CMC Z Series
This page describes the steps to install the ECU Ferrite Attachment, which snaps around the power cables of the ECU which is a signal amplifier that controls the CMC.
To maintain compliance with Part 15 of the Federal Communications Commission, (FCC), and the Electromagnetic Compatibility, (EMC) standards, the enclosed Ferrite MUST BE installed on the output cable from the Power Supply of the ECU.
Open the Ferrite using the latch on the side of the Core.
Wrap three full turns of the ECU output cable from the Power Supply around the core, keeping the loops reasonably tight.
Close the Ferrite.
