Belt Tensioner Assembly: Horizontal Tension Adjustment
This section defines and provides resolutions for common hardware issues for the Belt Tensioner Assembly which adjusts the Horizontal Tension of the Drive Belt.
Belt Tensioner Assembly Definition: The Belt Tensioner Assembly, located on the right side of the Board Rails, adjusts the Horizontal Tension of the Drive Belts which run along the front of the top and bottom Board Rails and engage the Toothed Pulley in the Gantry’s Drive Shaft to move the Gantry horizontally with precise control.
Usage:
The Belt Tensioner Assembly controls the Horizontal Tension of the Drive Belts.
The Drive Belts control the Horizontal movement of the Gantry/Head.
Ensure that the Red Lines on the Drive Belts align with the Red Lines on the Toothed Pulley to keep the Gantry completely straight and properly aligned: Drive Belt Position Alignment.
Connections:
The Drive Belts attach to the Board Rail at the left Belt Anchor, run horizontally along the Board Rails, pass through the Toothed Pulley on the Gantry’s Drive Shaft, and secure to the Belt Tensioner Assembly on the right.
