The Head contains the Blade Depth Dial* which sets the Blade Depth when cutting or applying a non-blade tool.
*The Z1 does not have a Blade Depth Dial and depends solely on the software for the Blade Depth Setting.
Turn the Blade Depth Dial to the desired Blade Depth.
Smaller numbers are Shallower cuts.
Larger numbers are Deeper cuts.
Connections:
The Blade Depth Dial is located on the faceplate of the Head.
Troubleshooting:
The Blade will no longer cut through the matboard at the standard Blade Depth.
Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.
Check the air lines to make sure they are not kinked.
Make sure the current Blade is not broken.
Make sure you are using the correct Blade Depth for this material: Measuring Blade Depth Documents.
Make sure you are using the correct Blade Cartridge.
Make sure the VPO on the Head is not set too low.
Reset the Blade Depth Dial: Blade Depth Dial Calibration Documents.
Check the Air Clamp Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry.
The Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.
The Blade cuts too deep at the standard Blade Depth.
Make sure the current Blade has not slipped out of the Blade Cartridge.
Make sure the VPO on the Head is not set too high.
