Magnetic Stop Plate Installation: CMC 8000, 9000 and the Z Series

Remove the Magnetic Stop Plate

  • The Gantry is pushed up firmly against the Magnetic Stop Plate when Aligning the Head to ensure precise control of the Gantry’s Horizontal positioning. The Magnetic Stop Plate replaces the Stop Screw previously used for this purpose.

  • Loosen the top 3/16” stop screw of the Magnetic Stop Plate.

  • Lift up the Magnetic Stop Plate to disengage the pin from the hole and slide the alignment plate to the left end of the rail to remove.

Installing the Magnetic Stop Plate

  • Slide in the Magnetic Stop Plate from the left end of the bottom rail keeping the pin towards you.

  • Place the pin into the appropriate hole listed below for your CMC version.

    • CMC 9000: Put pin in the right hole.

    • CMC Z: Put pin in the left hole.

  • Tighten the top 3/16” stop screw.

  • The Magnetic Stop Plate is now installed.
