Twisted Corner and Rotation

Twisted Corner

Twisted Corner

  • A Twisted Corner is when the blade turns before retracting from the matboard, which tears the matboard and twists the corner.

  • This is especially visible from the back of the mat.

  • Check to make sure the Rotation hasn't been set to a high number.

  • Twisted corners can also be a symptom of oil/water in the Air Valve, or an issue with the Head.

  • Check the Air Regulator for excess water.

  • Use the Clean the Footblock procedure for cleaning the footblock.

A Twisted Corner is when the Blade Rotates before fully Retracting from the matboard, which tears the matboard and twists the corner.

This is especially visible from the back of the mat.

The FootBlock may become clogged with matboard debris over time, keeping it from plunging/retracting properly. See the Clean the Footblock procedure for instructions on cleaning it.

Check to make sure the Rotation hasn't been set to too a high number.
