V-Groove Attach To: Properties Tab

Attaching a V-Groove to an Opening or the Outside allows the V-Groove to automatically resize if the attached object is resized.

• The V-Groove will remain the same distance from the Opening/Outside as entered in the Distance field.

If the V-Groove is Not Attached to anything, the Distance field is grayed out. 

Note: Offsetting the V-Groove from an object when initially placing the V-Groove does not automatically attach the V-Groove to that object.

Click the Attach To dropdown control and select the Mat or the specific Opening to attach the V-Groove.

Enter the Distance to place the V-Groove from the object it is Attached To in the Distance field.

The V-Groove will resize around the object by the distance entered.

Resizing the object the V-Groove is Attached To will resize the V-Groove to remain the distance entered in the Distance field.

If the V-Groove is Not Attached to anything, the Distance field is grayed out.

Here the V-Groove is attached to an Opening.

Here the V-Groove is attached to the Mat.
