The 90° Bevel Drop is created by cutting a 90° Right Angle into the matboard. The matboard core is not visible from the front. The initial plunge position is determined by the bevel type.

The 90° Bevel Drop is created by cutting a 90° Right Angle into the matboard. The matboard core is not visible from the front. The initial plunge position is determined by the bevel type.

The Drop is one of the categories within certain opening styles, like the initial section cut of an Open V-Groove. However, it cannot be chosen as a standalone bevel type within Designer.

The Bevel Type refers to the angle at which the blade cuts the surface of the matboard when it deviates from the 90° right angle cut.

Select Normal Drop or Normal Drop-Front of Mat from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control to edit this configuration.

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.
