Determining the Degrees of Rotation

There are several way to determine the degrees of Rotation for an object.

The Rotation function in Trace is the action of rotating the selected object(s) around an axis or center by the specified number of degrees.

Guesstimate the Rotation in Trace

Guesstimate the Rotation in Trace

  • Select the desired objects to Rotate.

  • Click the Edit radio button on the Trace and Draw Tab.

  • On the Rotate degrees field, enter a guesstimate value for the degrees of Rotation.

  • Click the Rotate button.

  • The CutArt will rotate.

  • Adjust the Rotation value accordingly until the desired outcome is achieved.

CutArtâ„¢ are simple shapes and design elements created by Wizard that can be added to designs.

CutArts can be applied to your current design and edited, such as resizing and rotating.

They can be Cut, Debossed, Penned or cut on Vinyl.

  • The following processes might be the easiest way to determine the Rotation because you can manually drag the Rotation Control Point or Rotation Slider Bar in order to Rotate the object. It does require that you first Save and Bring the CutArt into the Design Editor.

  • After Rotating it, you have the option of saving it as a new CutArt or returning to Trace and entering the Rotation value you determined in Design.

Manual Rotation in the Design Editor

  • Load the desired CutArt into the FrameShop Design Editor.

  • Click to select the CutArt.

  • Click on the Properties tab.

  • Click on the Rotation Control Point located on the Right Side of the object.

  • Hold and drag the Control Point Up or Down with the mouse to Rotate the object.

  • The number of Degrees is displayed in a mini pop-up screen next to the Rotation Control Point.

  • Release the mouse when the object is Rotated to the desired position.

  • The number of Degrees that the currently selected object is Rotated is displayed on the Rotation field on the Properties Tab and on the Advanced Tab.

  • After Rotating it, you can either Save the Project, or Save the Rotated CutArt as a new CutArt (instructions listed below).
