Exterior Backups on Openings

Exterior Backups on Openings

The Exterior Backup is where the blade backs up before initially plunging into the matboard on the exterior cuts, such as when cutting a rectangle.

Exterior Cuts cut into the matboard, not the fallout of the opening.
