The Cut Preview Indicators display the status and state of several features on the Cut Preview Screen. |
Design Preview | |
---|---|
The design preview is displayed in the middle of the Cutting Preview screen. | |
The design preview of the current project is displayed in the middle of the Cutting Preview Screen.  | |
Click the desired layer thumbnail to make it the current layer. Optionally, enter the desired layer number at the top of the screen. The current layer is highlighted in blue on the layers listing on the left Layers panel and the other layers are displayed in gray. If a SKU is selected for any of the layers, the SKU number is displayed next to the layer thumbnail. If the selected SKU contains a mat color, it will be displayed on the layer thumbnail. If the selected SKU contains a thickness value, the blade depth number will be displayed under the SKU number. If the SKU does not contain a thickness value, the default blade depth will be displayed. |
Enable Auto Clamp Offset | |

The cutting preview will display Dodge if the Enable Auto Clamp Offset feature is being used on the CMC Z1 or Z (9000z). | |
The cutting preview will display Dodge if the Enable Auto Clamp Offset feature is being used on the CMC Z1 or Z (9000z). Uncheck the Enable Auto Clamp Offset checkbox to turn off this feature and the cutting preview will no longer display Dodge. |
Enable Rail Dodge | |

The cutting preview will display Dodge if the Enable Rail Dodge feature is being used on the CMC 9000 or 8000. | |

Clamp Interference | |

The Cutting Preview will display if any of the finger-clamps will interfere with cutting the current design on the CMC Z1 and Z (9000z) by turning red. | |
If any of the finger-clamps will interfere with the current design, they will be displayed in Red. The finger-clamps that will not interfere are displayed in White. | |
When you click Cut, it will display a screen indicating which finger-clamps need to be rotated. The CMC Z1 will also flash the individual LEDs above the specified finger-clamps in red on the CMC board itself. The LEDs for the individual finger-clamps that will not interfere with the current design will be displayed in green. | |
Rotate the indicated finger-clamps toward the edge of the board then click Continue to cut the mat. |
Cursor Position | |

The Cursor Position boxes display the current X and Y position of the cursor. | |
The Cursor Position boxes display the current X and Y position of the cursor position as you move the mouse, using the current unit of measurement. |
Cut the Outside | |

The cutting preview will display and cut the outside of the design if the Cut Outside toggle is selected. | |
The cutting preview will display and cut the outside of the design if the Cut Outside toggle is selected on. Toggle the Cut Outside Off to turn off this feature and the cutting preview will no longer display nor cut the outside of the mat. | |
Optionally, the outside of the mat will display and cut if a Cut Mode other than Off is selected on the Outside Cut Options dropdown control. | |

Cutting the Remnant of the Mat | |

The cutting preview will display a vertical or horizontal line indicating where it will trim off the remaining section of the matboard to make it easier to store the remaining pieces for future use.  | |
The cutting preview will display a vertical or horizontal line where it will trim off the remaining matboard if a Remnant Direction is selected under the Advanced Outside Options. Select the Remnant Direction to Off to turn off this feature and the cutting preview will no longer display nor cut the remnant from the outside of the mat. |
Not Cutting the Remnant of the Mat | |

The cutting preview will not display a vertical or horizontal line when it is not set to trim off the remaining section of the matboard. | |
The cutting preview will not display a vertical or horizontal line where it will trim off the remaining matboard if the Remnant Direction of Off is selected under the Advanced Outside Options. Select a Remnant Direction and the cutting preview will display and cut the remnant from the outside of the mat. |
Cut From Front | |

The cutting preview will display Front if the current layer is cutting from the Front of the mat. | |
The cutting preview will display Front if the current layer is cutting from the Front of the mat. Toggling the Cut From Front toggle to Off will display Back instead of Front, unless the design contains a pen, deboss, crease, vinyl or V-Groove which will always cut from the front. |
Cut From Back | |

The cutting preview will display Back if the current layer is cutting from the Back of the mat. | |
The cutting preview will display Back if the current layer is cutting from the Back of the mat. Toggling the Cut From Front toggle to On will display Front instead of Back. |
Stacked Mats | |

The cutting preview will display Stacked if the Cut Layers Stacked feature is being used. | |
The cutting preview will display Stacked if the Cut Layers Stacked feature is being used. Toggle the Cut Layers Stacked Off to turn off this feature and the cutting preview will no longer cut as nor display Stacked. |
Continuous Layer | |

Head Travel Display On | |

Click the Head Travel toggle On to display the motions of the Head that will take place when it cuts the mat. | |
Click the Head Travel toggle On to display the head travel display. The Head traveling to the first opening is displayed in yellow. The head traveling between the objects with the blade unplunged are displayed in green. The plunges of the blade are numbered so the user can see the cutting order. The cut lines are displayed in blue. |
Head Travel Display Off | |

Click the Head Travel toggle Off to not display the movements of the Head. | |
Click the Head Travel toggle Off to turn off this feature. The Cut Preview does not display the movements of the Head. |
Display Current Layer Only | |
---|---|
Use the Display Current Layer Only toggle to display the current layer only, which may be helpful when working on a complicated design. Click the Display Current Layer Only toggle to off to display all of the layers of the current design. |
