Plunge Count

Use the Plunge Count toggle to automatically pause for a blade change after the specified number of blade plunges. 

NOTE: You may have to set the Cut Preview Screen to full screen to view the rest of the Display Option toggles.

Plunge Count On

Click the Plunge Count toggle On to have the system pause for a Blade Change after the specified number of blade plunges.

Click the Plunge Count toggle On

The system will pause for a Blade Change after the specified number of blade plunges.

Setting the Plunge Count Value

The Plunge Count value is set on the Configurations screen for each blade cartridge tab.

Go to the Configurations screen.

Select the desired Blade Cartridge tab.

Enter the desired Plunge Count value for that blade cartridge in the Plunge Count field.

Click OK.

When the blade cartridge hits the selected number of plunges while cutting, it will pause for a blade change.

Cutting Paused for Blade Change

After the number of plunges entered in the Plunge Count field, the system will pause and prompt for a blade change.

Cut your mats.

After the number of plunges entered for this blade cartridge, the system will pause and prompt for a blade change.

Change the Blade.

Click Continue.

It will pause for a blade change again when the number of plunges have been met.

Plunge Count Off

Click the Plunge Count toggle Off to not automatically pause for a Blade change. 

Click the Plunge Count toggle Off.

The system will not pause for a Blade change.

Manual Blade Change

The user can change the blade manually while the CMC is cutting.

While the project is cutting, hit the Spacebar on the keyboard. Don't hit any other key or you will Abort the cut.

The current cut will be paused, allowing you to select to change the blade.

Click Change Blade.

Change the Blade.

Click Continue when done.

The system will continue cutting the mat.
