  • Push Blade Cartridge Release Lever down to eject the current Blade Cartridge.

  • Select the desired Blade Cartridge.

  • Insert the new Blade Cartridge into the head with the blade facing the CMC board and the notch on the back of the cartridge facing the Head, until it clicks into place. It can only be inserted one way.

  • See the Wizard Getting Started Cartridge Manual: CMC Z1, Z(9000z), 9000, 8000, 8000RC and 8000+ for specific instructions on how to install each of the individual cartridges.

 Cartridge Definition

A Cartridge is the physical component that holds the Blade, Deboss Stylus, Pen or other application tool.

Adjusting the Blade Depth

It is necessary to adjust the Blade Depth for different matboard thicknesses. The blade should cut cleanly through the mat being cut and not gouge into the backing mat. There are two Blade Depth adjustments: Software and Hardware.
