Checking the Gantry Alignment

  • Take a small piece of matboard and draw a squiggle on the top side to indicate which side is the top.

  • Trim one side of this matboard using the AirGlide.

  • Fold the matboard in half with the top facing you, matching the ends.

  • Flip the mat over horizontally, and trim it again using the AirGlide.

  • If the top and the bottom do not match side to-side, you will need to adjust the gantry vertically.

Adjusting the Gantry Vertically

  • There are four small adjustment screws at the top of the Gantry and one large tensioning screw.

  • There are four small adjustment screws on the bottom of the Gantry.

  • Loosen the five screws on the top and the four screws on the bottom just enough so that the Gantry can be moved into the correct position.

  • Move the Gantry in the desired direction and loosely tighten the screws and do another test cut.

  • Repeat as necessary.

  • When the Gantry alignment is validated, tighten all nine screws.
