Template #108: Reserved Area Properties

Add the #108 Reserved Area to the Editor

The #108 Reserved Area template places a rectangular placeholder to be reserved but not cut.
This is useful for reserving a spot for physical objects when designing a mat.
This template has no Reveals nor Parameters.

Template Definition

Templates are specialized parametric shape generators created by Wizard.

Many of the templates have additional Properties that can be edited which can change the shape, curves and corners of the design as well as a wide assortment of Parameters.

The Template Library displays the different templates that are available for use.

This example shows one opening with the #108 Reserved Area placed beneath it.

Template Properties
Place the #108 Reserved Area Template onto the Editor. Click on the #108 Reserved Area Template on the Editor. Click on the Properties Tab to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for this template opening. For Additional Information: Right-Click on the object and select Properties.

The Template Opening section displays the current Template Name and Number button.
Click the Template Number and Name button to open the Template Library.
Select a different template to replace the current template.

Label

Enter the desired text in the Label field which will be displayed on the Template opening.

This overwrites the default label displayed by selecting the Show Opening Size Labels in the Options menu or under the Defaults.

Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default setting of whether or not to Auto Label Multi Openings.

Style Definition

The Style button displays the current Template Name and Number in Designer.

Click the Template Name and Number to select a new Template from the Template Library.

Dimensions

Enter the Template Width dimension.
Enter the Template Height dimension.

Default Settings:
See Admin > Defaults for the default settings for the Sizes dropdown control.
See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the Outside and Opening Size.

Sizes Button Definition

The Sizes Button displays the Recent and Standard sizes.

Recent lists the last ten sizes entered.

Standard lists Standard sizes associated with the current unit of measurement.

Swap Button Definition

The Swap Button switches the values between the width and height fields.

Lock or Unlock Size
Click the Unlock icon toggle to Lock the size of the current template opening. Click the Locked icon toggle to Unlock the size of the current template opening. Lock Object Size Definition Use the Lock/Unlock feature to prevent the size of the opening from being changed by accidentally dragging the control corners with the mouse in Designer. X and Y Position Fields

X (Position Field)

Enter the new X Position to move the currently selected openings.

Y (Position Field)

Enter the new Y Position to move the currently selected openings.

X Position Definition

The X Position field is used to set or display the Horizontal position of the selected object in Designer, Trace and the Cut Preview.

Y Position Definition

The Y Position field is used to set or display the Vertical position of the selected object in Designer, Trace and the Cut Preview.

Rotation Entry Field

Enter the desired Degree of Rotation in the Rotation field.

The currently selected Template will pivot from the center point.

Rotation Definition

The Rotation function in Designer is the action of rotating the selected object(s) around an axis or center by the specified number of degrees.
