Measuring the Vinyl Cartridge Blade Depth |

These instructions will show how to measure the blade depth of the Vinyl Cartridge. |
Locate a small or scrap piece of the same type of vinyl that you will be cutting, and place it on a scrap of matboard. Hold the cartridge level to the piece of vinyl and grasp the base of the cartridge where it would be inserted into the Head. With medium grip (as if holding a pencil), drag the Vinyl cartridge over the edge of the scrap of vinyl.

To adjust the Vinyl blade depth, turn the locking knob on the back of the Vinyl Cartridge (where the Plunge Rod is attached). Turn the locking knob clockwise to increase the blade depth, and counter-clockwise to decrease the blade depth. Test the blade depth on the piece of Vinyl again. Continue making adjustments until the blade cuts through the Vinyl, but not through the backing sheet. Once the blade depth for the cartridge is set, you can install the Cartridge into the Head.
