Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

Exterior Overcut Definition

 Exterior Overcut Definition

The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts.

Adjusting the Exterior Overcut

  • To adjust, click plus/minus on the desired field about five times.

  • Click OK and do another test cut.

  • Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Select the Bevel Type for the Exterior Overcut to be Edited:

Exterior Overcut on Openings

Problem:

  • The Exterior Overcut on Openings is cut too long or too short.

 Exterior Overcut Definition

The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts.

  • Normal Bevel

  • Reverse Bevel

  • Normal Bevel-Front of Mat

  • Reverse Bevel-Front of Mat

Resolution:

  • If the exterior overcut is too long, decrease the Exterior Overcut.

  • If the exterior overcut is too short, increase the Exterior Overcut.

Exterior Overcut on Drops 

Problem:

  • The Exterior Overcut on Drops is cut too long or too short.

 Exterior Overcut Definition

The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts.

  • Normal Drop

  • Reverse Drop

  • Normal Drop-Front of Mat

  • Reverse Drop-Front of Mat

Resolution:

  • If the exterior overcut is too long, decrease the Exterior Overcut.

  • If the exterior overcut is too short, increase the Exterior Overcut.

Exterior Overcut on the Outside

Problem:

  • The Exterior Overcut for Outsides is cut too long or too short.

 Exterior Overcut Definition

The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts.

  • Outside

  • Outside-Front of Mat

Resolution:

  • If the exterior overcut is too long, decrease the Exterior Overcut.

  • If the exterior overcut is too short, increase the Exterior Overcut.

Exterior Overcut on V-Grooves 

Problem:

  • The Exterior Overcut for V-Grooves is cut too long or too short.

 V-Groove Exterior Overcut Definition

The V-Groove Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts on the outside cut of the V-Groove.

  • V-Grooves

Resolution:

  • If the exterior overcut is too long, decrease the Exterior Overcut.

  • If the exterior overcut is too short, increase the Exterior Overcut.

Exterior Overcut on Creases

Problem:

The Exterior Overcut on Creases is applied too long or too short.

 Exterior Overcut Definition

The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts.

  • Crease

Resolution:

  • If the exterior overcut is too long, decrease the Exterior Overcut.

  • If the exterior overcut is too short, increase the Exterior Overcut.
