Chamfer Definition

  1. A chamfer is a beveled edge connecting two surfaces. If the surfaces are at right angles, the chamfer will typically be symmetrical at 45 degrees. A fillet is the opposite, rounding off an interior corner.

  2. A bevel made to break the sharp edge of a cut.

  3. Bevel: cut a bevel on; shape to a bevel; "bevel the surface"

  4. Bevel: two surfaces meeting at an angle different from 90 degrees
