Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

Rotation on Outsides Definition

  • The Rotation controls for Swoops or Flares in Non-Oval Outsides.

Current Bevel Type

Outside has a Swoop

Problem:

  • The beginning of the cut swoops toward the Non-Oval Outside.

Resolution:

  • Increase the Rotation.

  • To adjust, click plus/minus on the field about five times.

  • Click OK and do another test cut.

  • Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Outside has a Flare

Problem:

  • The beginning of the cut flares away from the Non-Oval Outside.

Resolution:

  • Decrease the Rotation.

  • To adjust, click plus/minus on the field about five times.

  • Click OK and do another test cut.

  • Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Twisted Corner

Problem:

  • A Twisted Corner is when the blade turns before retracting from the matboard, which tears the matboard and twists the corner.

  • This is especially visible from the back of the mat.

Resolution:

  • Check to make sure the Rotation hasn't been set to a high number. 

  • Twisted corners can also be a symptom of oil/water in the Air Valve, or an issue with the Head.

  • Check the Air Regulator for excess water.

  • Use the Clean the Foot Block procedure for cleaning the foot block.
