Connection

The Connection section displays and allows the user to change the connection to the server and database.

Current Connection

The current connection settings are displayed in the Current Connection section.

Server Name

The server name is displayed in the Server Name field. This field is not editable.

Database Name

The database name is displayed in the Database Name field. This field is not editable.

Station Computer Name

The station computer name is displayed in the Station Computer Name field. This field is not editable.

Change Connection To

Change the current connection settings on the Change Connection To section.

Available Servers

Select the desired server from the Available Servers drop-down control.

Database Name

Enter the database name to connect to in the Database Name field.

Connect to Database

Click the Connect to Database button to connect to the database selected in the Change Connection To section.

Content Server

Use the Content Server section to set the content server  connection settings.

Server URL

The server URL is displayed on the Server URL field.

Save URL

Click the Save URL button to save the currently entered URL in the Server URL field.

Reset

Click the Reset button to reset the server connection.

Last Connected On

The date the system was last connected to the database is displayed on the Last Connected On field on the Content Server section of the Connection Settings screen.

Backup Database Section

Backup the Database on a weekly or daily basis as a safeguard against hardware problems. Store the backup file with your other backup files.

Backup Database

On the server computer, click the Backup Database button.

The Save Backup As screen opens.

Navigate to where you would like to save the backup file.

Give it a filename.

Click Save.

The database will be backed up to this file.

Restore Database

If you've had to replace the computer, click the Restore Database button on the new server computer.

Navigate to where the backup file you create is located.

Select it and click OK.

The backup will be restored to this computer.
