TTF Properties

Use the TTF Properties to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for the TTF objects.

Click on a TTF object and click on the Properties tab.

Optionally, Right-Click on the TTF opening and select Edit to open the TTF Properties.

TTF Opening

The TTF Opening section allows the user to enter the desired text for the TTF, or select a different font for the TTF.  While similar to LetterMats, TTFs do not offer all of the same property options of a LetterMat. 

Text 

Enter desired lettering text for the TTF in the Text field.

Characters associated to the selected font are available, though they are not guaranteed to cut.

TTF Font Name

Select the desired TTF font from the Font Name dropdown control.

When possible, the names of the Fonts are displayed in their typestyle. 

TTFs are located in the /Windows/Fonts directory, so the listing is only limited by the fonts currently installed on your computer.  

You can install more TTFs to the /Windows/Fonts directory.

Set the Default for TTFs

The default settings for the TTFs can be set in the Admin > Editor section.

Dimensions

Use the Dimension Section to edit and/or lock the TTF object dimensions, set the X/Y positioning, or rotate the TTF.

Text Size 

Select the Text Size tab to enter dimensions based on the full text bounding rectangle.

Width

Enter the full TTF Width dimension

Height

Enter the TTF Height dimension.

Letter Size 

Select the Letter Size tab to enter dimensions based on the individual letter size. 

Em Width 

Enter the individual letter Em Width dimension. 

Height 

Enter the TTF Height dimension.

Lock or Unlock Size

Click the unlock icon toggle to Lock the size of the current TTF opening. 

Conversely, click the locked icon toggle to Unlock the size of the current TTF opening. 

X and Y Position Fields

X (Position Field) 

The X Position field is used to manually set the horizontal position of the selected object (lines shown for illustration). 

Y (Position Field) 

The Y Position field is used to manually set the vertical position of the selected object (lines shown for illustration).

Rotation Entry Field

Enter the desired degree of rotation in the Rotation field.

The currently selected TTF will pivot from the center point.

TTF Parameters 

Use the TTF Parameters section to edit the specific TTF parameters.

Kerning

Kerning defines the distance between characters in the text field. 
            
Tracking

Tracking defines the distance between words.  

Cartridge Selection and Type

Use the Cartridge and Type section to select the desired Cartridge and Cartridge Type for the particular TTF.

Cartridge Icon

Click on the Cartridge Icon and select the desired cartridge for the current TTF.

Cartridge Type

When applicable, select the desired cartridge type from the Type dropdown control. 

Selections available are dependent upon the type of Cartridge tool selected

For instance for Deboss, the selections available are the Deboss - Wide, Deboss - Medium, and Deboss - Thin cartridges.
