This overwrites the default label displaying the V-Groove size, which can be toggled in the Defaults or on the Editor Edit Menu

Select a different template instead of the V-Groove.

To change the V-Groove to another template, see Change to Template above.

VG Width

VG Width on the V-Groove parameters determines if the V-Groove is a Closed or Open V-Groove.

Closed V-Groove has a VG Width of 0 (zero) and cuts from the front of the mat.

Anything larger than zero for the VG Width is an Open V-Groove, which can be cut from the front or the back of the mat.

Open V-Groove

Anything larger than zero for the VG Width is an Open V-Groove, which can be cut from the front or the back of the mat.

Enter the desired VG Width.

The V-Groove adjusts to the new width.

NOTE: This is not where to adjust the closed V-Groove width if it is cutting too narrow or too wide. See Width Adjustment for adjusting the V-Groove cutting width.

Distance

The Distance is the space between the V-Groove and the object the V-Groove is attached to in the Attach To field.

If the V-Groove is not attached to anything, the Distance field is grayed out.

NOTE: Offsetting the V-Groove from an object when initially placing the V-Groove does not automatically attach the V-Groove to that object.

Changing the Distance number will offset the V-Groove the new distance from the object it is attached to

If the object is resized, the V-Groove is also resized proportionately and remains the Distance entered in the distance field from the object it is attached to.

Set the Default V-Groove Distance

The default setting for the V-Groove Distance can be set in the Admin > Editor.

Attach To

Click Attach To and select from the dropdown control the desired object to attach the selected V-Groove.

If you resize the item that the V-Groove is attached to (opening or mat), the V-Groove is resized proportionately and remains the same distance entered in the Distance field from the object it is attached to.

NOTE: Offsetting the V-Groove from an object when initially placing the V-Groove does not automatically attach the V-Groove to that object.

Cartridge Selection and Type

Use the Cartridge and Type section to select the desired Cartridge and Cartridge Type for the V-Groove.

Changing it to a non-Bevel Cartridge will change the V-Groove to that Cartridge type; i.e., changing it from a 45 Degree Cartridge to a Deboss will make it a Deboss opening.

Cartridge Type

When applicable, select the desired cartridge type from the Type dropdown control.

Selections available are dependent upon the type of Cartridge tool selected.

For instance for Deboss, the selections available are the Deboss WideDeboss Medium, and Deboss Thin cartridges.
