Aligning Openings with the Alignment Tab

The Alignment tab contains many tools to align and position openings.

Space Objects Horizontally

Hold down the shift key and select three or more objects horizontally.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Space Objects Horizontally button.

Objects are spaced evenly between outermost objects.

Space Objects Vertically

Hold down the shift key and select three or more objects vertically.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Space Objects

Vertically button.

Objects are spaced evenly between outermost objects.

Space Horiz

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects horizontally.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Enter desired spacing between objects.

Click Space Horiz button.

Objects are spaced accordingly; left-most object remains stationary.

Space Vert

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects vertically.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Enter desired spacing between objects.

Click Space Vert button.

Objects are spaced accordingly; bottom-most object remains stationary.

Centering Buttons

The first row of aligning buttons center objects.

If several objects are selected, they are centered as a locked group.

Select object(s).

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Center Openings Horizontally to Mat to center object(s) to mat horizontally.

Click Center Openings Horizontally/Vertically to Mat to center object(s) to mat both horizontally/vertically.

Click Center Openings Vertically to Mat to center object(s) to mat vertically.

Alignment Buttons

Second/third rows of aligning buttons activate when two or more objects are selected.

Second row of aligning buttons aligns objects horizontally within the group of selected objects.

Third row of aligning buttons aligns objects vertically within the group of selected objects.

These buttons refer to the furthest-most edges of the group of objects.

Picture openings as surrounded by a rectangle.

Objects will move within reference to that imaginary rectangle.

NOTE: Rectangle highlights are displayed here as a reference; they do not appear on the screen.

Align Openings to Left Edge

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Align Openings to Left Edge button.

Objects align to the left-most object edge of the selection.

Align Openings to Center

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Align Openings to Center button.

Objects align to the center of the selection horizontally.

Align Openings to Right Edge

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Align Openings to Right Edge button.

Objects align to the right edge of the selection.

Align Openings to Bottom

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Align Openings to Bottom button.

Objects align to the bottom edge of the selection.

Align Openings to Middle

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects.

Click on the Alignment tab.
Click Align Openings to Middle button.

Objects align to the middle (vertically) of the selection.

Align Openings to Top

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Click Align Openings to Top button.

Objects align to the top edge of the selection.

Position (X,Y)

Hold down the shift key and select two or more objects.

Click on the Alignment tab.

Object reference point is the highlighted handle point located in the lower left corner.

Lower left corner of work space is 0,0.

Enter the desired X and Y coordinates in the Position X and Y fields to move selected object(s) on the mat.
