MatDesigner PathTrace User Guide: Order Cuts Tab

Use the Order Cuts tab to change the cut order of a design.

With the traced mat on the screen, click Order Cuts Tab.

Click on View > Cut Order Numbers to display the cut order numbers on the objects.

Select the desired action button, such as the Cut Earlier button.

Hover the cursor over the desired object, and the object turns white.

Click the object to make this object cut earlier in the cutting sequence.

Note how the object numbers change as the object selected will now cut earlier.

Change the cut order of this object by clicking the appropriate button.

NOTE: Selected objects below are not displayed in the colors mentioned for print purposes.

Greyed out objects will cut after currently selected object.

Darker objects will cut before currently selected object.

See what the current cut order is by moving the cursor.

Cut Earlier:

Select Cut Earlier and click on an object. Object moves up one in the cut order with each click of the button.

Cut Later:

Select Cut Later and click on an object. Object moves down one in the cut order with each click of the button.

Change Start:

Change Start will change the start where the object will begin to cut. Click Change Start then click on the point of the object where to begin cutting this object. The object will start cutting at this point.

Cutting Side

Select Cut from Back to adjust the order of cuts made from the back. Cuts made from the front of the mat are displayed in bold since they are already cut before cutting from the back.

Select V-Grooves to adjust the cutting order of V-Grooves.

Select Deboss to adjust the cutting order of

Debossed objects. Select the desired Deboss tool from the dropdown control.

Select Pen to adjust the cutting order of Pen objects.

Current Layer:

Select the desired layer to edit.
