How to Use the Grid

Objects snap to the Grid Points whether or not they are displayed.

Guide Lines and Border Lines take precedence over Grid Points. If the user experiences difficulties moving an object using the Grid, toggle the Guide and Borders off.

Positioning Arrow

The Positioning button toggles between positioning from the top or the bottom layer, as indicated by the arrow direction.

Select the Positioning Arrow down.

Arrow down positions and aligns objects from the bottom layer.

Select the Positioning Arrow up.

Arrow up positions and aligns objects from the top layer.

Using the Grid

Arrange the openings as shown.

Leave the bottom opening selected.

On the Editor, click on the Tools menu and select Grid Size.

Select .5 (.75 cm) for the Grid Size.

Click the Tools menu then select Show Grid to display the Grid.

The grid is displayed, shown here exaggerated.

Click and slowly drag the bottom opening toward the right.

See how the opening snaps to each of the Grid Points, which are spaced .5” (.75 cm) apart.

Move the opening around the Work Space and see how this feature can be used.

Click on Tools and select Grid Size and change back to .0625” (.1 cm), and select whether or not to display the Grid.
