The MatDesigner editor menu bar contains several helpful functions for the MatDesigner software. |

New Mat Design: Select New Mat Design to create a new mat. Load Mat Design: Select Load Mat Design to load a saved mat. Save Mat: Select Save Mat to save the existing mat. Save Path As: Select Save Path As to save the mat as a path to edit in PathTrace. Save Design Image: Select Save Design Image to save the current design as a *.jpg image. Load New Image: Select Load New Image to load an image into the MatDesigner for visualization purposes. Cut Mat: Select Cut Mat to take the current design to the cut preview. Print Mat Dimensions: Select Print Mat Dimensions to print a graph layout and table of dimensions and placement of each object. Print daVinci Mat: Select Print daVinci Mat to bring the current design to the daVinci print preview to print. Quit: Select Quit to quit to the main screen. |

Undo: Select Undo to undo the last command. Copy: Select Copy to copy the selected object(s). Select All: Select all Openings, Guides or Tape Measures from the dropdown control. Change Borders: Select Change Borders to edit the borders. Change Mat Size: Select Change Mat Size to edit the outside dimensions. Clear Mat Design: Select Clear Mat Design to start over. Warning: It does not prompt to save the current mat. |

Add Magnifier: Select Add Magnifier to place a magnifier onto the work space. Magnifier can be sized by dragging on the corner/edge with the mouse. Right-click on magnifier and select Remove Magnifier to delete it. Add New Guides: Select Add New Guides to place guide lines centered horizontally or vertically on the work space. Show Grid?: Select Show Grid to display a grid on the work space. Set Grid size below. Grid Size: Select Grid Size from the dropdown control: .0625, .125, .25, .5, 1. Point of reference (“X” in lower left of object) snaps to grid points even when not displayed. Zoom: Select Zoom value percentage: Choices are: 100%, 150%, 200%, 250%, and 300%. Scroll bars appear to assist viewing current design. |
Setup | |

Click Board Configurations to open the configurations screen to make adjustments to how the CMC cuts. These values are set at the factory, but can be adjusted by the end-user. Because configuration changes are usually made while doing cuts, this is described under Cut Preview Tools in User Guide: Cut Preview. Click View License to display the customer identification and license information. This screen is also accessible from the license button on the cut preview. |

Start Over | |

Click Start Over to start a new mat from the new openings screen. User is prompted to save current mat. | |
If Integrated Framer Retail Management has been installed, this button is replaced by Send to IF-RM, which is covered in the IF Retail Management manual. |
Send to IF-V/Send to IF-RM | |

Click Send to IF-V to bring the current project into Integrated Framer Visualization to visualize the project. | |
Click Send to IF-RM to send the current project into Integrated Framer Retail Management. This button will display the Start Over button if the IF Retail Management software is not installed. This button will not display if the IF Visualization software is not installed. |
Quit | |

Click Quit to return to the main screen. User is prompted to save current mat. |
