X and Y Origin

Click on the design to select it.
Enter a new X or Y Origin value and tab out of the field.
It will move the lower left corner point of the design to the new X/Y Position on the Cut Preview Screen.
Previous Cuts are displayed in Faded Grey to help the user position the current design on the screen.
To clear the Previous Cuts from the screen, click Clear Cut History.

The Previous Cuts are displayed on the Cut Preview as Faded Gray outlines. These allow you to position the next cut beside a previous cut when cutting several designs from the same mat, such as when Calibrating the CMC. This can be turned on/off in the Options menu, and the previous cuts can be cleared from the screen with the Clear Cut History button. See: Previous Cuts Toggle See: Clear Cut History |

Enter the desired Sheet Size of matboard (e.g. 40x32) on the Setup Tab on the Sheet Size field.
This sheet size designates the number of mats that can be placed in the layout.
Defaults: Set the Defaults for Tiling

Enable Auto Offset

Click on the design to select it.
Check the Auto Offset checkbox.
Enter the distance to move the design in the X Origin field; the Y Origin field uses the same numerical value.
It will move the lower left corner of the design to the new X/Y Position and it will display Dodge on the bottom of the screen.
This feature is also turned on by selecting Full from the Outside Cut Options dropdown control.

This is for the CMC Z1 and Z (9000z) to overcome the Border Limitation of 1.25"/3.2 cm on the Cut Preview.
This is similar to the Rail Dodge used on the CMC 9000/8000.

Uncheck the Auto Offset checkbox.
The design will no longer be offset on the CMC Z1 and Z (9000z) and will cut the design normally unless values have been entered in the X Origin and Y Origin fields as described above.
This is useful when cutting the opening from a pre-cut sheet matboard and not cutting the outside.

Check the Enable Rail Dodge checkbox to use a Rail Dodge on CMC 9000 and 8000.
A Rail Dodge is a small piece of matboard or other material used to position the pre-cut matboard up into the cutting area when using borders less than 1.5" and not cutting the outside.
Enter the distance to move the design in the X Origin field; the Y Origin field uses the same numerical value.
It will move the lower left corner of the design to the new X/Y Position and it will display Dodge on the bottom of the screen.

Move Origin Arrows

Click on the design to select it.
The Move Origin Arrows (Up, Down, Left or Right) moves the current design by a full design's outside Width or Height in the direction of the arrow.
For example, clicking the Right Arrow will move the design over the same full design width to the Right, so that it can be cut next to the previous cut that was made with this design.

The Previous Cuts on the screen are erased.
This is helpful when the previous cuts are a distraction for the current session, or you no longer need them as a reference when moving the position of the current design to cut.
