Changing the Blade |

Push Blade Cartridge Release Lever down to eject the current Blade Cartridge.
Select the desired Blade Cartridge.
Insert the new Blade Cartridge into the head with the blade facing the CMC board and the notch on the back of the cartridge facing the Head, until it clicks into place. It can only be inserted one way.
See the Wizard Getting Started Cartridge Manual: CMC Z1, Z(9000z), 9000, 8000, 8000RC and 8000+ for specific instructions on how to install each of the individual cartridges.

A Cartridge is the physical component that holds the Blade, Deboss Stylus, Pen or other application tool. |
If the current Layer uses a different Blade Cartridge or is a different Mat Thickness than the last layer cut, the user will be prompted to change the Cartridge and/or the Blade Depth.
Turn the Blade Depth knob on the Head to the requested Blade Depth. The software Blade Depth and the hardware Blade Depth value should match.
Click Continue to cut.

Blade Depth Button
Click on the Blade Depth button to open the Blade Depth Screen. Enter the Blade Depth for the current layer if different than the selected depth.

Blade Depth Field
Optionally, enter the desired Blade Depth in the Blade Depth field.
Blade Depth Quick Select
Optionally, click the Blade Depth Quick Select button which is displayed as the mat corner sample at the top of the screen on the Cut Preview Screen.
Select the desired preset Blade Depth for the current layer from the dropdown control.
The selected Blade Depth will be applied to the current Layer.
Blade Depth - CMC Z1 Hardware

On the CMC Z1, setting the Blade Depth in the software (see above for more information) will automatically set the Blade Depth in the hardware.
The Z1 will automatically adjust the physical Blade Depth of the CMC to this value when you click Continue.
Click Continue to cut.
