The Rotationfield controls how much the foot block will rotate before cutting. Adjust the Rotationif you are getting Swoopsor Flaresin the corners on a non-oval opening. If you have too much Rotation Rotation on a non-oval opening you will get a Flare, too little rotation and you will get a Swoop. |  |

Degrees of Rotation for Non-Oval Openings | |

Twisted Corner | |

A Twisted Corner is when the blade turns before retracting from the matboard, which tears the matboard and twists the corner, which is seen especially visible on the back of the mat. Check to make sure the Rotation Rotation hasn't been set to a high number. Optionally, see the Clean the Foot Block procedure for information on cleaning the foot block. Twisted corners can also be a symptom of oil/water in the Air Valve, or an issue with the Head. Check the Air Regulator for excess water. |  |
