Button Panel

  • The Button panel is located on the front of the machine at the left side. There are three buttons, each of which are labeled.

E-Stop

  • The large red button in the center of the panel is the E-Stop button. Its purpose is to stop the machine in case of an emergency, such as loading the board wrong. If the button has been pressed, turn it in the direction of the arrow to turn it off. The machine will not run until the E-Stop is released.

Clamp Switch

  • The Clamp switch is located on the right side of the e-stop button. Its purpose is to raise and lower the clamps that hold the matboard in place.

Power Switch

  • The last switch is the power switch. This will turn all power off to the machine as well as the computer. The computer has an outlet for it on the machine. The power switch is located on the opposite side of the clamp switch.

Cutting Foot


Mat Foot

  • Glides along the mat being cut.

Blade

  • When changing the Blade, loosen the Brass Thumb Screw, slide out the old Blade, and replace with a fresh Blade. Hold the Blade toward the right while tightening the Brass Thumb Screw to ensure it is in the correct position.

Brass Thumb Screw

  • Holds the Blade secure to the Cutting Foot. Loosen to replace the Blade, tighten to hold into place.

Blade Clamp

  • The Blade Clamp is positioned between the Blade and the Brass Thumb Screw, and holds the Blade secure and in position.

Blade Depth Adjuster

Loosen the two screws on the top and push the Blade Depth Adjuster:

  • to the Left for 2 ply,

  • to the Center for 4 ply,

  • to the Right for 8 ply.

  • Retighten the two screws on the top to hold the Blade Depth Adjuster in place.

V-Groove Adjuster

  • When cutting a V-Groove, push the V-Groove Adjuster to the Left. Keep the V-Groove Adjuster to the Right when cutting openings.

Blade Depth Adjustment Screw

With the Blade Depth Adjuster set to the center, adjust the Blade Depth Adjustment to go through 4-ply.

  • Turn the Blade Depth Adjustment Screw CW for a shallow cut.

  • Turn the Blade Depth Adjustment Screw CCW for a deeper cut.
