  • Use the Change Start button to change the Start Cutting Point of an object.

info
  • There are a number of reasons to change the Cut Start.

    • If you are having difficulties cutting a complex design and the blades are breaking or it is skipping steps, it may help to start the cut in a different place, such as in a corner rather than in the middle of two arcs.

    • You may also want to do this if you are having problems with Fallouts sliding behind the mat you are cutting. Changing Cut Order and Changing Start Cut Points may resolve some of these issues.

titleFallout Definition

The Fallout is the part of the mat that is removed when a design is cut.

Typically, the Falloutis discarded, or saved for another project if large enough.

Sometimes the Falloutis considered as part of the design, such as the Dropouts on the inner portions of LetterMat letters.

The Bevel Type refers to the angle at which the blade cuts the surface of the matboard when it deviates from the 90° right angle cut.

Through Nesting, another design may be cut within the fallout.
