The Mat Defaults section sets the defaults for the New Openings Screen and the Design Editor (described below).

Edit Opening Size First

Info
Select the default position for the Opening Size Field position on the New Openings Screen.

Select Edit Opening Size First to display the Opening Size field first.
Unselect Edit Opening Size First to display the Outside Size field first.

Layer Direction

Info
Select the default layer direction Layer Direction for designing Designing and cuttingCutting.

Select Bottom Up to design from the bottom layer up.
Select Top Down to design from the top layer down.

Borders Order

Select the default Border Fields order for the New Openings Screen.

Select Bottom Top Sides to display the Border fields as Bottom, Top, Sides.
Select Top Sides Bottom to display the Border fields as Top, Sides, Bottom.

The Border is the area of precisely definable width between the outside edge of a Mat and the edge of the Opening(s) in Designer, Nesting, and Visualization.

Select Top Sides Bottom to display the Border fields as Top, Sides, Bottom.

Reveals Defaults

Set the default Reveal Valuesfor each template layer.

The top layer is labeled Top on the Properties tab..

title	Reveal Definition

In a two-layer design, the Reveal is the amount of the bottom matboard showing under the top mat in Designer and Visualize.

The standard Reveal between the top and bottom mat is 1/4".

The top layer is labeled Top.

Screens

Info
Set the default size of the FrameShop software screens.

Select Auto Maximize* to always maximize the screens to full size.
Select Remember Previous Size* to use the previous screen size.

Note
Note: Depending on your monitor size and screen settings, some features may be hidden if the display is not set to display full screen, especially on the Cut Preview Screen*.

Standard Sizes

Info
Set the default sizes available for the Openings and Outside from the Sizes button drop-down control.

Size Category

Select the Opening/Outer Sizes category and Insert, Remove or Update the entries on this list.

The Sizes Button displays the Recent and Standard sizes.

Recent lists the last ten sizes entered.

Standard lists Standard sizes associated with the current unit of measurement.

Size Category

Select the Sizes category to add/edit:
- Opening
- Outer

Standard Sizes Listing

The Standard Sizes lists the Sizesfor the Category selected. Insert, Remove or Update the entries on this list.

Images

Get Scale on File Load

Info

Select whether or not to prompt for the image scale when an image file is loaded in Visualization.

The Visualize software allows the user to create a digitally finished product using the selected frames, matboards and the artwork.

This makes it easy to present several different variations of the design for the customer to pick from.

Select Get Scale on File Load to prompt for image scale when loading an image.
Unselect Get Scale on File Load to load the image without a prompting for the image scale.

Limit Image Size

Select whether to limit the size of images file loaded into Visualization.

Select Limit Image Size and enter the Max Dimension of the image file size.
Unselect Limit Image Size to allow any image size to be loaded.
