Click on the design to select it.
Uncheck the Enable Rail Dodge checkbox.
The design will no longer be offset on the CMC 9000 and 8000 and will cut the design normally unless values have been entered in the X Origin and Y Origin fields as described above.
This is useful when cutting the opening from a pre-cut sheet matboard and not cutting the outside.

The Rail Dodge function moves the design up and over on the matboard to avoid the Clamp area on the CMC 9000 and 8000 to overcome the Border Limitation of 1.5”/3.8cm on the Cut Preview. This is similar to the Auto Offset used on the CMC Z1/Z (9000z). See: Rail Dodge See: Auto Offset |

Enable Rail Dodge
Info |

|
Click on the design to select it.
Check the Enable Rail Dodge checkbox to use a Rail Dodge on CMC 9000 and 8000.
A Rail Dodge is a small piece of matboard or other material used to position the pre-cut matboard up into the cutting area when using borders less than 1.5" and not cutting the outside.
Enter the distance to move the design in the X Origin field; the Y Origin field uses the same numerical value.
It will move the lower left corner of the design to the new X/Y Position and it will display Dodge on the bottom of the screen.

Note: The outside cut is shown here merely for visual reference of where the pre-cut matboard will be positioned on the board. This feature can also be used to move the design to avoid flaws in the matboard. |
