Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

The Interior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Fallout (not the Matboard) on the Interior cuts of Non-Oval Openings.

The Interior Backup field is marked with a Black Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Interior Backup is cut Too Long, Decrease the Interior Backup.

If the Interior Backup is cut Too Short, Increase the Interior Backup.

Select the desired Cartridge Tab. 

Select the Opening Outside Bevel Type* from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control.

*Select Current Bevel Type-Front of Mat when cutting from the front of the mat.

*The different Opening Outside Bevel Types, including whether it is cutting from the Front or Back, controls the cut direction of the Head, and determines whether the cut is a Backup or an Overcut.

Adjusting the Interior Backup

• When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus/Minus on the desired field about five times.

• Click OK and do another test cut.

• Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

• Interior Backup cuts Too Long.

• Interior Backup cuts Too Long:

  • Decrease the Interior Backup.
