The Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cut. Displayed as Green Arrows 

The Exterior Backup field is marked with a Green Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Short, it can leave a Hook in the corner.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

The Interior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Fallout (not the Matboard) on the Interior cuts . Displayed as Black Arrowsof Non-Oval Openings.

The Interior Backup field is marked with a Black Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Interior Backup is cut too Long, Decrease the Interior Backup.

If the Interior Backup is cut too Short, Increase the Interior Backup.

The V-Groove Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts of the Outside Cut of the V-Groove. Displayed as Green Arrows

The V-Groove Exterior Backup field is marked with a Green Arrow on the Configurations screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Backup on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

The V-Groove Interior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Fallout (not the Matboard) on the Interior cuts on the Inside Cut of the V-Groove. Displayed as Black Arrows

If the Interior Backup on the Inside Cutof the V-Groove is cut too Long, Decrease the Interior Backup.

If the Interior Backup on the Inside Cutof the V-Groove is cut too Short, Increase the Interior Backup.

If the Exterior Overcut is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

If the Exterior Overcut is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Overcut.
