• A Closed V-Groove is a thin channel cut into the face of the matboard to reveal the matboard core color. It is cut from the front of the mat, and any other openings on that layer will also be cut from the front.

A Closed V-Groove is a decorative channel that is cut about halfway through the thickness of the matboard, exposing the matboard core.

First Cut of the Closed V-Groove

• Cuts the Interior V-Groove Line.

• Cuts into fallout, not the matboard.

• Cuts clockwise.

Second Cut of the Closed V-Groove

• Cuts into matboard, not the fallout.

• Cuts counter-clockwise.
