V-Groove

A V-Groove is a thin channel cut into the face of the matboard to reveal the matboard core color. It is cut from the front of the mat, and any other openings on that layer will also be cut from the front.

Normal Bevel Open V-Groove

The first cut is the interior V-Groove line and cut into the V-Groove fallout and not the matboard, and is cut in a clockwise direction.

The second cut is the exterior V-Groove line and cut into the matboard and not on the V-Groove fallout, and is cut in a counter-clockwise direction.

Reverse Bevel Open V-Groove
