Fan Openings

The Fan Openings section is used to rotate and fan out a selection of objects around a pivot point.

  • Openings can be fanned horizontally or vertically.

Select Fan Direction While Fanning Openings

  • Position and select the desired openings.

the desired fan distance in the field next to the appropriate fan direction.Click Set Fan
  • either the Horizontal or Vertical Fan Distance.

  • Click the Set Fan button next to the Horizontal or Vertical Fan Distance entered. 

  • The openings will be fanned by the Distance entered.

  • You can click on the middle Fan Control Point and drag it to increase/decrease the fan as well.

  • If the fan is unselected (i.e., the mouse is clicked elsewhere on the design), reselect the objects and click Set Fan to reset the fan function to edit it.

Fan Distance Definition

  • Fan Distance is the height of the fan from the center of the end objects.

  • Positive value fans the objects upwards; negative value fans the objects downward.      

  • The Fan can also be adjusted by clicking and moving the center
