Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

Rotation Definition on V-Grooves

The Outside Rotation controls for Swoops

and

for outside cuts on non-oval V-Grooves.The Inside Rotation controls for Swoopsand Flaresfor inside cuts
on the outside cut on non-oval V-Grooves.The Rotation field controls how much the foot block will rotate before cutting.
Because this is a V-Groove, you will be using either the Outside Rotation or the Inside Rotation, based on which V-Groove line you are editing.
The first cut is the interior V-Groove line
.The second cut is the exterior
and cut into the V-Groove
line. Adjust the Outside Rotation if you are getting Swoopsor Flaresin the outside corners on a non-oval opening.Increase the Outside Rotationif the object has a Swoop on the outside cut of the V-Groove.Decrease the Outside Rotationif the object has a Flare on the outside cut of the V-Groove.

Problem:

fallout and not the matboard, and is cut in a clockwise direction.

The second cut is the exterior V-Groove line and cut into the matboard and not on the V-Groove fallout, and is cut in a counter-clockwise direction.

V-Groove Outside has a Swoop

Problem:

The Outside cut of the non-oval V-Groove cuts with a Swoophas Swoops.

Resolution:

Decrease the Outside Rotation. The Outside Rotation controls for Swoopsand Flaresfor outside cuts on non-oval V-GroovesAdjust until the object cuts without a Swoop.

When making adjustments, click the plus or minus button

Click OK and do a

In Rotation, eight points equals one degree of rotation. Users usually make adjustments four points at a time.
Click OK and do another test cut.
Check the results of the cut and continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

The object will now cut correctly.

Problem:

V-Groove Outside has a Flare

Problem:

The Outside V-Groove cuts with a Flare.

Resolution:

Increase the Outside Rotation value. The Outside Rotation controls for Swoopsand Flaresfor outside cuts on non-oval V-Grooves Adjust until the object cuts without a Swoop/Flare.

When making adjustments, click the plus or minus button
