Laying Out Template Shapes to Make a Jersey | |
---|---|
You can design your jersey in MatDesigner by bringing over different template shapes, overlapping them, then merging them together to create an opening. As an example, you can bring in #504 Triangle and rotate it to create the sloped angle along the side. Duplicate the triangle to create the same slope along the other side of the jersey. Add a rectangle for the bottom part of the jersey and overlay the corners of the triangles. Finally, add rectangles to make the top, sleeves and the neck. | |
Select all of the openings, then Right-Click on them and select Group Selection. This will merge the openings together and create one opening. If they do not merge as expected, Right-Click and select UnGroup Selection and reposition the objects as desired then regroup them. | |
You can also then bring this design into PathTrace to edit as desired, which is often times easier than trying to design a shape from scratch. |
