MatDesigner New Openings Screen: Multi

Click Mat Design from New section of the main screen.

Click on the Multi tab.

Blank Mat using Default Outside Dimensions

To start with a blank mat using the default outside size, click Cancel.

OR

Go to defaults and select Skip New Openings under editor: new openings screen.

Hint: Alternately, enter desired outside dimension and click OK.

Opening Size

Enter width/height of new opening.

  • Click Sizes to select recent or standard sizes.

  • Click Swap to switch numbers between width/height.

Click Add New Opening.

Opening appears under current openings.

Add each opening size in the same manner.

Don’t click OK yet.

Select Template

On the new openings screen multi tab, click on an opening listed under current openings.

Click on the template field of the opening.

The Template Library opens.

Select any of the tabs 1-9 to browse the designs.

Click on new template thumbnail to select it.

New template number is displayed for the current opening.

Don’t click OK yet.

Duplicate Opening

On the new openings screen: multi tab, click on an opening listed under current openings.

In the # field, change the value to the number of desired openings.

Selected opening is duplicated.

Don’t Click OK yet.

Add Different Size Opening

On the new openings screen: multi tab, enter the width/height of the new opening.

Click Add New Opening.

Opening appears on current openings field.

Add each opening size in the same manner, clicking

Add New Opening for each one.

Setting # to zero (0) will prompt user to delete the line item.

Don’t Click OK yet.

Remove an Opening

On the new openings screen multi tab, in the # field, change the value to zero (0).

User is prompted to delete the line item.

OR

Click once on the row. Right-Click on the blue portion of the row (not the highlighted cell) and select Remove.

Click Ok to remove the opening.

Outside Size

On the new openings screen: multi tab, enter the desired outside dimension.

The outside size is displayed.

The Editor

Click OK on the new openings screen to bring the openings to the editor.
